For as long as I can remember my parents have instilled the importance of family and faith into me. My mom has always been a giver of gifts that are meaningful and mostly handmade. She has always repurposed things from our childhood, our family or even our grandparents. She has spent time over the years putting photos and newspaper clippings into books for us, gifting us cards from our grandparents with their handwriting, re-doing our childhood sleds into adorable Christmas decorations. You get the idea. The special things that I cherish the most are those gifts big or small that have been curated with so much thought, family history, a story, connection and love.

We have created this monthly subscription to bring you unique and special keepsake projects every month in a private group format! The keepsake projects are designed to show you how to repurpose and preserve cherished items of your loved ones to keep, display, gift, use or even make for others who just aren't ready to do this themselves.
Work with Melissa on each month's craft creation in the community group on a LIVE video call in our private Facebook group. Each month you will find one Crafting for Keeps live video tutorial project. As a special bonus, each month you will receive one Guest Video. This will be another project or an inspirational message related to our group.
Crafting for Keeps can be your place to connect with others who are missing loved ones. This group will encourage you to create keepsake pieces using special belongings. We will share stories about loved ones, we may cry or laugh and that’s okay. This group will bring you joy through honoring your family, your friends, your stories, your life.
There are so many memories with the “things” we accumulate, which is why we accumulate. Now it’s time to figure out what has the most memorable meaning. My husband’s sudden and unexpected death 5 months ago left me with a lot of memorable “things”. Where to start, I haven’t, to hard to let go. My children will pick what they want, my grandchildren will do the same. The rest will have to go. As I sit here alone and look at the accumulation, I too have to “let go”. Thank you for the inspiration to move forward, one day at a time.

Members of this group will need a desire to become part of this special and uplifting Facebook group. You will make friends, you will connect with others and you will be in a great place to share your stories.
We will be creating keepsake projects that incorporate special belongings and basic craft supplies. The projects are designed by Melissa (and maybe her mom) with the purpose of showing off our loved ones items, honoring, remembering and celebrating what we hold close in our hearts.
No need to be super organized. I've got you covered! Each month, I will supply a basic project overview along with the Facebook Live Video date so you can mark your calendars. Be on the lookout for monthly Special Guest appearance videos too!

We lost my in-laws in the last few years. We had the daunting task of cleaning out their home. A home filled with a lifetime of memories, their clothes, their dishes, their seasonal decorations, their grandchildrens toys, everything. A lifetime was in that home. The “things” in their home brought story after story as we boxed and packed up their life.
What about that shirt Dad always wore for special occasions?
What about Mom's costume jewelry?
Her broken dishes and all of the beautiful linens and fabrics?
These are the things that get packed away.

I lost my brother in May and almost lost my sister too. You guys helped pray for her and she is better. A long way to go but not as bad as it was. Thank all of you for the prayers. Even though we all have never met in person I feel like you all are my extended family
